8-Arm polyethylene glycol-Glutaric Acid (8-Arm PEG-GA) is a multiarm PEG derivative with glutaric acid groups at each terminal of the eight arms connected to one hexaglycerol core. It is usually a solid powder, which needs to be protected by inert gas, frozen and dissolved in some organic reagents such as DMF and DMSO. Glutaric acid can be used to react with amine groups with peptide coupling reagents such as NHS and DCC, EDC.
