4-Arm PEG-Biotin
Synonyms: Four Arm-polyethylene glycol-biotin; Four Arm-PEG-biotin
Four arms-polyethylene glycol-biotin (4-Arm-PEG-Biotin) is a multi armed peg derivative with biotin as the terminal. It is a white solid or sticky liquid, depending on its molecular weight. It is soluble in most organic solvents and has good solubility in water. It needs to be frozen, thawed slowly before use, and filled with nitrogen after use. Four arm polyethylene glycol derivatives have a variety of active groups that can be used to modify proteins, peptides and other materials through their functional groups. PEG modification can improve solubility and stability, and reduce immunogenicity of proteins and peptides. It can also inhibit the nonspecific binding of charged molecules on modified surfaces. Biotin can form photosensitive substances in the photoreceptor cells, maintain the integrity and soundness of epithelial tissue structure, and enhance the body's immune response and resistance.
