Rhodamine contained in mPEG-Rhodamine is a fluorescent dye that selectively stains live cell mitochondria through cell membranes and is yellow-green fluorescent. It is widely used to detect mitochondrial membrane potential and is also commonly used for apoptosis detection. The drug can be traced after the PEGylated rhodamine modified and has no cytotoxicity.
