Synonyms: Four-Arm polyethylene glycol-Chloride; Four-Arm PEG-Chloride

Four-arms polyethylene glycol-Chloride (4-Arm PEG-Chloride) is a multi armed peg derivative with chloride as the terminal. It is usually viscous or solid, soluble in organic solvents and water, and can be stored for a long time at -20℃. Four arm polyethylene glycol derivatives have a variety of active groups that can be used to modify proteins, peptides and other materials through their functional groups. PEG modification can improve solubility and stability, and reduce immunogenicity of proteins and peptides. The halide groups -chloride (Cl) is a very good leaving group for neucleophilic substitution reaction. It can easily react with alcohols, ethers, amines and esters to modify various organic molecules. It is widely used in medical research, drug delivery, nanotechnology and new materials research, and cell culture.
