Sulfhydryl-polyethylene glycol-Succinimidyl propionate (HS-PEG-Succinimidyl propionate) is a multifunctional polyethylene glycol with a sulfhydryl group at one end and a succinimidyl propionate ester at the other end. Depending on its molecular weight, the form is usually found in viscous liquid or solid powder. It is usually stored at -20℃. It can be used to modify proteins, peptides and other substances by amino or other acid reactive chemical groups. Sulfhydryl group is widely used in the modification of gold nanoparticles or gold films. It can modify a variety of drugs, such as protein drugs, peptide compounds, organic small molecule drugs and so on. Similarly, it is also widely used in PEG modification of biological nanomaterials.
