Synonyms: Azide-polyethylene glycol-Azide; N3-PEG-N3

Azide polyethylene glycol azide (N3-PEG-N3) is a linear bifunctional peg reagent with two Azide (N3) groups. It is usually a viscous liquid or solid powder, depending on the molecular weight. It can be stored for a long time at -20℃. It is soluble in most organic solvents and has good solubility with water. The azide group can react with copper-catalyzed alkynes in aqueous solution, and it can be easily reduced to amines. At the same time, PEG can increase the solubility and stability of the drug, reduce the immunogenicity of peptides and proteins, and inhibit the non-specific binding of charged molecules on the modified surface. It can modify proteins, peptides and other small molecular materials.
