Fmoc-NH-PEG-SCM
Fmoc-NH-PEG-SCM is a linear heterobifunctional PEG reagent with an Fmoc protected amine and an activated carboxylic acid NHS ester at both ends of the molecular chain. SCM stands for succinimide carboxymethyl ester, an NHS ester. Fmoc-NH-PEG-SCM is a useful cross-linking agent with PEG spacer group. The free amine, usually in the form of TFA or HCl salt, can be used to react with carboxyl groups or NHS esters. The protected amine can be regenerated under mild alkaline conditions. After the reaction, the Fmoc protective group is removed, and the two reactive end groups can react with different drug molecules, thus forming PEG connecting the two drug molecules. The product has good water solubility, biocompatibility and flexibility, and is increasingly used for conjugation of antibody drugs.
