| Description | NH2-PEG-COOH has two different activated terminal groups. Heterobifunctionalized PEG derivatives are used in cell culture, pharmaceutical research, drug delivery and release, nanotechnology and new materials. Heterobifunctional PEG can be attached to different molecules or materials to extend the richness of different molecular combinations. Drug PEG modification can alter its dispersion and solubility in aqueous solutions. PEG modification can create a spatial barrier around the drug, reduce the enzymatic hydrolysis of the drug, avoid the rapid elimination of kidney metabolism, and allow the drug to be recognized by cells of the immune system. |
