Product Information

Description mPEG-SH can exchange disulfide bonds with the internal sulfhydryl groups of the protein to form new disulfide bonds, which can achieve the same protein-specific binding. In addition, the sulfhydryl group and the nanoparticles of mPEG-SH are covalently modified to form an Au-S bond to attach the PEG directly on the gold surface to further improve the water solubility and biocompatibility of the nanoparticle.
