FITC-PEG-SH is a fluorescent heterobifunctional PEG derivative. FITC can be used for labeling molecules or proteins. Sulfhydryl is widely used in gold nanoparticles or gold film modification. Stable oxime ether linkages can be formed with maleimide at pH 6.5-7.5. Heterobifunctional PEG can be attached to different molecules or materials to extend the richness of different molecular combinations. Also used in cell culture, pharmaceutical research, drug delivery and release, nanotechnology and new materials.
