Palmitic acid-PEG4-acid is a saturated long-chain fatty acid with a 16-carbon backbone and a PEG likner connected to a terminal carboxylic acid group. The acid group can derivatize amine-containing molecules in the presence of activators such as EDC or HATU. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media.
