Synonyms: Methoxy polyethylene glycol Triglutamic acid
Methoxy polyethylene glycol Triglutamic acid is an amino acid and peptide peg conjugate, which is made by covalently linking peg to various amino acid derivatives. It is usually white or yellowish liquid, semi-solid or solid, depending on the molecular weight. It is suitable for storage in a dry environment below -20℃ and needs inert gas (argon or nitrogen) protection for long-term storage. Triglutamic acid can be used to react with amine groups with peptide coupling reagents such as NHS and DCC, EDC. So it can be used to modify proteins, peptides and other materials through their functional groups. Similarly, it is also widely used in PEG modification of biological nanomaterials.
