| Description | 14-(Amine-PEG3-ethylcarbamoyl)tridecanoic t-butyl ester has an amine group on a PEG linker with a alkane tail that has a t-butyl ester group. The amine group is reactive with carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters, carbonyls (ketone, aldehyde) etc. The t-butyl protected carboxyl group can be deprotected under acidic conditions. 14-(Amine-PEG3-ethylcarbamoyl)tridecanoic t-butyl ester is a self-assembling PEG reagent which may form micelles in water. This compound may also be used as a building block for lipids in nanotechnolgy and drug delivery. |
