PEG-PGA Polyglutamic Acid

PEG-PGA Polyglutamic Acid is a graft polymer. The PEG is grafted onto the polyglutamic acid. Polyglutamic acid (PGA) is a new class of biodegradable polymers, non-toxic to organisms and non- immunogenicity. It has no side effects and has good biocompatibility. High hydrophobic PGA combined with water soluble PEG to form an excellent drug delivery carrier. Various reactive end groups on PEG can be cross-linked with different molecules. PEG-PGA derivatives are good drug crosslinking agents and drug delivery carriers. It can create a spatial barrier around the drug, reduce the enzymatic hydrolysis of the drug, avoid the rapid elimination of kidney, metabolism, and allow the drug to be recognized by cells of the immune system.
