Description C15 Ceramide (d18:1/15:0) is a naturally occurring ceramide that has been found in L. nidifica and A. glomerata extracts, human erythrocytes, and the stratum corneum of P. domesticus. Ceramide plays a key role in the anabolic and catabolic pathways of sphingolipids. It acts as an extracellular stimuli for many cellular processes like differentiation, growth suppression, cell senescence and apoptosis.
