Description	7α,24(S)-dihydroxycholesterol is a sterol found to be one of several, the most abundant cholesterol metabolites and an intermediate of bile acid biosynthetic pathways. 7α,24(S)-dihydroxycholesterol is a ligand for liver X receptor (LXR) and binds to the ligand binding domain of LXRα and LXRβ.
