Description | 16-(Amine-PEG4-ethylcarbamoyl)pentadecanoic-t-butyl ester is a PEG linker with an amine group and an alkane tail that has a terminal t-butyl ester group. The amine group is reactive with carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters, carbonyls (ketone, aldehyde) etc. The t-butyl protected carboxyl group can be deprotected under acidic conditions. The polymer can form micelles spontaneously in water. It may also be used to prepare more complex lipids for nanoparticles for drug delivery. |
