Synonyms: Methoxy polyethylene glycol-Pyridyl disulfide
Methoxy polyethylene glycol-Pyridyl disulfide (mPEG-Pyridyl disulfide) is a modifier with one end of the methoxy group and the other end of the pyridyl disulfide derivative. It is usually a solid powder or particle, which needs to be protected by inert gas, frozen and dissolved in most organic solvents, such as DCM, DMF, DMSO, THF and so on, but also has a good solubility in water. The pyridyl disulfide group, also called PDP (pyridyldisulfide propionic acid), which is reactive with thiol, sulfhydryl, mercapto, SH or cysteine. It can modify a variety of drugs, such as protein drugs, peptide compounds, organic small molecule drugs and so on. Similarly, it is also widely used in PEG modification of biological nanomaterials.
