Propargyl-PEG-NH2 has an amine group and propargyl at both ends of the molecular chain. It is a heterobifunctional PEGylated crosslinking agent. The amine group readily reacts with activated NHS esters and carboxylic acids to form stable amide bonds under coupling conditions, or with carbonyl groups such as ketones and aldehydes through reductive amination conditions. The alkynyl groups can react with azides to form triazole bonds by click-chemical reactions. The increasing aqueous solubility derived from the PEG spacer makes it an ideal conjugation linker for biological. Propargyl-PEG-NH2 is widely used in click chemical biological conjugates, biomarkers, chemical biology and antibody drug conjugates (ADCs).
